Dharma Rescue is a place that provides rehabilitation treatment and professional training in order for the disabled animals to reintegrate into life, bringing convenience to the people in need, as to achieve a win-win situation. Besides bringing new missions to animals with disabilities but also trains them to be more confident to face challenges in the future.

AIM

Rescue disabled animals and give them a new lease on life.

MISSION & VISION

To give hope to the hopeless. Focus on animals with special needs, strive to prove these animals in need have the desire for another chance, the ability to respond positively to the opportunity, and with compassionate care will heal and thrive with a renewed spirit.

FACADE

The concept of this design is light and shadow. The façade is designed with colored acrylic glass which functions as sun protector glass that allows natural light to enter the building while also resisting ultraviolet rays.

VETERINARY RECEPTION AREA

This is a reception of the veterinary area which is located on the group floor. Every disabled cat/dog who is sent here will need to pass through a process, which is going through the rehab process, recovery, and training process. Animals that completed the training will end up staying at the shelter provided or to be adopted by people with eligible mental disabilities.

DOG TRAINING AREA

The dog training area is located on the ground floor. The basic entertainment and training equipments are provided here. The space provides an atmosphere of an outdoor park which is formed by different ground heights. It is because dogs are actively sporty and enjoy doing outdoor activities, they like to walk and play in a larger place. The dogs can access the area from the dog shelter through the ramp which is located beside the lobby. Through this passage, the dogs can take a stroll as their genetic make-up demands physical exercise.

RECEPTION AREA

This is the main reception located on the first floor. Visitors will pass through here before visiting the other spaces of the building. By entering the space, they can witness all kinds of cats wandering freely at the cat path that is located above them. The ceiling design here is a cat path formed by curved and long acrylic panels which are inspired according to the characteristic of the cat, besides providing entertainment for the cat, the area also allows visitors to interact with the cat.

CAT SHELTER

The cat shelter was separated into two areas that allow free mobility whereas physically inactive or disabled cats staying separately. This area is mainly for cats with restricted mobility. These two areas are connected so that physically active cats can access the place and the cat path easily as well (shuttle back and forth between the two areas).

MERCHANDISE AREA

This is a merchandise exhibition area, where a variety of products are conducive to disabled animals will be trading, and the amount earned will be fully used in the auxiliary treatment of disabled animals. There are 3 different types of display cabinets in this area, such as hanging design display stands, booth design display cabinets, and wall-mounted display cabinets. Besides making different shadows indoors, but the lights used will also bring environmental changes to the interior.
